Iveco 4×4 Defence Trucks Atex Explosion Proof Protected for Underground Environments

Three Iveco 40.10- WM trucks have been Ex protected for Atex Group I M2 (mines & tunnels) in Miretti’s head quarter recently

Sometime… Often… “Explosion Proof” is not a comfortable matter. There are not only standard trucks which need an Ex conversion. There are also “special vehicles” (not so common machines) which need to be safe in hazardous areas. These three Iveco trucks cannot be defined “so common machines”.

Another important technical challenge won by Miretti Team!

The Iveco truck have been Atex protected for heavy-duty applications. Two trucks are people carriers, 4×4 to be able to go down into the tunnel, on rough surfaces. They are used to transport people (and goods too) and as an emergency evacuation vehicle. The third truck is used as a mobile workshop.
