When Mr. Pier Carlo Miretti first started his Milan based explosion protection and emission control business more than 50 years ago he probably never imagined it would one day develop into the global market leader it is today.
Now Miretti Group explosion protection systems are widely used in thousands of industrial, mining, tunneling and oil and gas environments around the world.
The company HQ remains in Milan but it now has a global footprint with R&D and manufacturing facilities in the USA, China and Singapore and with technical sales and service support offices throughout Europe.
During the past 20 years the most important and fastest growing business area for Miretti Group has been the explosion protection of forklift trucks and other industrial equipment including access platforms, tractors, sweepers and scrubber dryers.
An inadequately protected truck working in industries – which can have potentially explosive atmosphere – could easily become a source of ignition leading to a fire or explosion with often catastrophic consequences to workers and the site. Therefore Miretti’s Ex conversions have been designed with the emphasis on safety, simple equipment operation and continued safe maintenance.
Miretti operates with an important focus on “Green Environment” and boasts a specific know-how in Emission Control Systems reducing exhaust pollution (Oxy Catalytic Converters, SCR DeNOx Systems, Special Anti-Pollution Devices, etc.)

Explosion Protections Emission Control Systems
Pier Carlo Miretti founded the company in 1973 originally operating in the field of safety systems and purification of exhaust fumes.
In 1974 was sold the first Catalyst
In 1978 Miretti designs and builds the first explosion-proof technology equipment.
1994’s
EU Directive ATEX 94/9/EC
ATEX = Atmospheres + Explosibles
1994 sees the publication of the EU Directive ATEX 94/9/EC (now ATEX 2014/34/EU) regulating equipment destined for use in potentially explosive atmospheres (ATEX = ATmosphères + EXplosibles).
In 1986 the company moves to its current plant location covering a total surface of 16,000 m2, 8,000 m2 of which dedicated to office space.

Miretti Explosion Proof Protect annually: + 1,000 mobile vehicles (diesel, electric, lpg powered trucks, hybrid, electric forklift with lithium battery); + 300 engines and customized enclosures and + 200 vehicles for mines and tunnels.
